If you’re a man please do not underestimate the power of #girlcode, and if you’re a girl you know exactly what I’m talking about. Often happens, when a girl is dating and if anything fishy is going on with the guy, let me clear out “Even a single stroke of doubt”, her Bff’s will do anything to save her or to try and fix it. Let alone investigate the whole situation and find any piece of evidence they can find.
It is more like a moral value, or take it as an instinctual trade women have. I wonder what would happen if Princess Diana of Themyscira aka Wonder Woman was being cheated by her beau. Probably, the whole Amazons will come running in a blaze.
Doing what girls do best in this situation (that is becoming Sherlock Holmes), Rebekah Pendley and Jasmine Rios, University freshmen of Texas, San Antonio are from the same class but do not share any acquaintances. They barely knew each other, other than following one another on their social accounts.
This is Rebekah Pendley.
So, Bekah was at the library where she saw a boy who looked exactly like Jasmine’s boyfriend flirting with another girl. Bekah recognizes the boy from Jasmine’s twitter profile, so she was taken aback when she saw him being close and touchy with someone else.
That’s when she knew she had to report the situation asap.
“Hey girl, I know we don’t know each other, just been mutuals on Twitter for a little bit. I go to UTSA too. But I recognize [a guy] who I think is your boyfriend in the library from y’all’s pictures on here, and he’s with a girl and he’s being kind of touchy with her,” Rebekah wrote.
She texted Jasmine about it, making sure she has all the right to know about this, even though she was a little reluctant to tell her at first.
She adds, “I really didn’t know if I should message you/how to tell you, but I have been full-on cheated on before and, girl to girl, I’d want to know. I hope this doesn’t cause you a lot of problems. I feel really bad but I just thought it’d be wrong to witness it and not say anything, you know? Tell me if you want me to fight him, I’ll be here for a while.”
And here are the texts.
Jasmine on the other side clears out the confusion.
In the text, she says that her boyfriend has an identical twin and that’s him with his girlfriend.
Though it turns out to be all fine, Jasmine was quite appreciative of the way Rebekah was totally ready to have her back even though they are mere strangers. She took screenshots of the messages and post it on twitter saying “we need more people like Rebekah”.
Yes, we indeed need more people like her.
The tweet went viral and landed a quarter of a million likes, also people retweeting with praise for both the girls.
Yes, some rituals need to be done!
Hell, yeah! But I don’t think that’d be a good idea for the boys!
This is called girl-love. We need more practice of it.
To date a twin is already confusing enough for me.
Okay, gurl! Calm down, we’re all here!
And some never fail to add the humour.
Here are pictures of Jasmine and her boyfriend.
If a girl like Rebekah can do that for a stranger going to her college, just imagine what a real best friend would do. Yes, we don’t even wanna start at it, it’s just a never-ending episodes of Holmes. We are truly inspired by the enthusiasm and benevolent aura Bekah has, hoping the two lands a beautiful bond of friendship.
