The news of Turkish socialite and Heiress Mina Basaran, 28, died in a plane crash surfaced on the internet recently. Apparently, she was flying with her seven friends after a bachelorette party she had in Dubai.
The plane crashed in Iran resulting in the death of all the passengers along with crew members. The last picture of her was clicked while she was sitting in the jet with heart-shaped balloons. She went on a weekend getaway with her close-knitted circle.
The bride-to-be was celebrating her nuptials to Murat Gezer when her plane crashed in Zagros mountain range in the south of Iran.
According to the authorities, the plane was traveling from Sharjah to Istanbul, leaving at 17:36 local time. The plane disappeared from the radar at 15:30 GMT.
A spokesman for Iran’s emergency management organization, Mojtajba Khaledi, said that the local villagers found the plane after the crash.
The crash was a result of bad weather due to which it became very difficult for the search team to find any survivors. Two helicopters were sent to find Debris along with bodies of other passengers.
However, till now only badly burnt bodies have been found.
DNA test will be carried out to identify the bodies. There is not much hope of any survival.
Kerem Kinik, head of the humanitarian organisation the Turkish Red Crescent, wrote in a tweet:
“The wreck of the jet and the bodies are found. They will be carried down from the mountains when the sun comes up. My condolences to those who lost their loved ones.”
