Helping an elderly person with anything is a kind gesture that anyone shouldn’t feel constrained from. We’ve all been taught to love, respect and help the old citizens because they need all the love and care from people around them to keep them strong.
When Tara Carter’s husband startled her while they were on a drive, stopping the car and jumps off to help an old citizen, she believes that kindness and greatness are possible once you try seeing another person’s perspective through their eyes.
Tara and her Husband Chris Carter along with their two kids recently went out for a family outing, as they were driving back home, Chris saw an old man hunching back and helplessly working on a lawnmower.
He pulled over the car and told his wife to get the food back home and to come pick him up later. Tara was confused at first but when she saw his husband jumping off of the car to go help this stranger, it melted her heart. She shared the selfless deed of her husband on Love What Matters Facebook page.
“This is one of the many reasons I love my husband. As we are driving home with Kylie and Gage, Chris suddenly turns the jeep around and says, ‘Take the food home and come back and get me.’ I didn’t know what he had seen but said okay.”
“We pull up and Chris takes the push mower from this elderly gentleman. I pray that my son learns from this and randomly helps people do things like his father does.”
It’s not that easy to see when someone truly and genuinely helps you because they simply are good-hearted and selfless people.
Many people can fake gestures but that won’t last long because people like that always want something in return from you.
A pure-hearted person is one who helps anyone at any point without seeking anything back. Good people are hard to find and it’s people like Chris that we need more to bring back Humanity among us.
We appreciate Chris’s gesture towards the old man. May the family keep prospering and live a happy life ahead!
