During childhood, we all had a dream that swoops us away, you know making us feel that we can be whatever we wanna be, having that faith to achieve anything.
But goals changes as we grow older, maybe due to the realization of needs and commodity in our surroundings. We tend to become more realistic and practical crushing genuine dreams every day.
Been always fascinated by Astronauts, to walk among the stars, but here I am writing about it. Living the Dream! Ironic, isn’t it?
And when you see the person living the dream which you’ve always wanted, you get more inspired and enthusiastic just the way this young boy Noah Cantin did. His heartfelt gesture melted the heart of a grown Policeman.
Noah Cantin, a 9-year-old boy, was always fascinated to be a Police Officer one day. He has been sticking to his goals for four years and continuing.
Recently, when Noah and his mother Amanda Cantin went to grab Breakfast at Danny’s, as it was “Brink Your Kid To Work Day”, the mother and son came across an officer at the diner, that’s when Noah totally made the day forever special for Officer Eddie Benitez of Lakeland, Florida.
Noah was so excited when he saw the officer, he asked his mom if he could go say “Hi” and his mom said he could.
The boy thought about what he would say to the officer, that’s when he decided he’ll pay for Officer Eddie’s breakfast expense with his birthday money that he had saved up when he turned 9 a few days ago as an ‘appreciation and respect’ towards him.
Noah’s mom hinted the waitress and that’s how they managed to pay the bills for the officer. The boy walked up to the officer and handed him his bill. Officer Eddie was confused at first but when he saw the special note written in the bill, he was floored, shocked and he got up from his seat and took the little man into his arms.
“I want to be you when I grow up. Thank you for your service.”
Eddie was so moved by the boy’s gesture he took a picture with him and also keeps the bill with him to this day as an inspiration.
“It meant everything. It meant that I’m supposed to wake up every morning and put on this uniform and go out there and do what I do. You know? It means that I need to keep trying to be a good example to all these young guys.”
The Lakeland Police Department were shocked and left in awe with the 9-year-old’s kind gesture that they thanked him and put up his picture on their official Facebook page as an inspiration for all.
“I’m going to make the world a better place and capture the bad guys.”
We hope the best for Noah and that he keeps pursuing what he wants and do become a Police Officer in future.
