He Proposed Her In Preschool And Married Her 20 Years Later

“Love is in the air” – A phrase heard more often than not. So when the air in preschool was infected by what cupid calls love, no one thought that fairytales do come true in such an adorable way. For this piece of story (scratch that, a freaking romantic story that will sound so unbelievable at first that you might cry about your sad romantic life), we will serve you with something goosebump worthy.

This cute pair first met as kids in preschool at Pheonix where they were good buddies, following each other on the playground.

Matt made the confession that one of his earliest childhood memory is of him declaring in front of his entire class that he loves his best friend.

“I was enamored with Laura as a child, and I still am to this day,” Matt says.

“We did almost everything together,” she added. “We would just have a blast together,” Laura says.

Apparently, Matt was a goofball back then.

“Lion King was what all the kids were into back then so we would spend most of our time reciting lines from the movie on the playground,” Matt told HuffPost. “I remember trying to impress her during a Cinco De Mayo celebration at the preschool where we were trying to break open a piñata. Fortunately, I was the kid who managed to do it and I assume it got her attention.”

Eventually, they parted ways when they started going to different preschools.

They reconnected years later when Laura’s saw Matt’s number in a mutual friend’s phone during freshman year.

The friend wanted to set up both of them up, but Laura was wary.

“I was hesitant to go out with him,” she said. “But he texted me and we hit it off.”

They attended different high schools and colleges but they managed to be together through everything.

In 2015, he recreated childhood memories when he asked Laura to marry him.

It was nothing short of phenomenal.

“The whole car ride to the preschool she kept asking me why I seemed anxious. I kept checking my pocket when she wasn’t looking to make sure the ring was still there,” Matt told HuffPost. “I dropped down on one knee while my brother came in with the phone, snapping photos. Laura was shocked. I gave her my pitch on why I wanted her to marry me and she said yes? whew!”

The pair tied the knot in December 2016 making the world spin with their fairytale romance.

Isn’t this couple beautiful and their story so perfect?
